Paid $299.95 fee to receive $5,000 in grant monies. Never received any documentation via mail after numerous telephone calls to company

I replied to a post card stating I was a possible qualifier for a government grant of $5,000.

On December 3, I paid their fee of $299.95. I was told that if at least $5,000 was not available to me in grant monies, my $299.95 would be refunded.

I called the company on December 22 to check on the status of my grant package. I was told I should receive the information by Friday, December 30.

I have not received anything and after checking on the web under scam information, I know that I will not receive anything.
