Beware of second scam letter from same address Ripoff

Miscellaneous

I also got a letter saying that I had won $437,146.20. I was suspicious as soon as I saw that they wanted $19.95 for processing so I checked it out. There was no record of the company that I could find so I called the local police department. They gave me a phone number for a fraud prevention hotline where you can see if something is real or a scam. It was 1-888-495-8501. There they warned me that there is often a second letter with a different company name but the same address. The prize for that one is $700,000. They also said that people who send in the money (maybe even those who don't) may get a phone call explaining that there was a problem processing the prize money and to please send $3,000 to pay the cost of correcting the problem. They may send you a cheque for the $3,000 that you cash and then send to them but it will bounce in about a week and leave you responsable for repaying the bank.

Thousands of people got these letters so spread the word so noone else gets ripped off!

Fraudulent sweepstakes letter, lots of legal jargon, sounds VERY professional. Refers to me winning a large sum of money ($427,146.20) and will have it sent to me once I send them money for processing
