Ripoff claim approval of gov. Grant application

A man calling himself Micheal Stanly called my home and told me that I had benn approved for a Gov. Grant that I had applied for some months ago (to pay for school). I repatedly asked him if this was approval of the grant I had already applied for, he assured me it was my approval.

He told me that there was be a one time prossesing fee of 49.95 for my bank to accept the 12,500 check. He gave me a "bank draft number" to take to my bank so they could accept this grant money to my account.

I called the customer service number the next morrning, and they told me there was no approval yet, I had to fill out the application. I told them that is not what I was told by there representitive and asked them to cancel any order I may have inadvertintly placed and they told me they could not do that because they did not have my information yet, but they played the recording of my acceptance back to me, so I knew they DID
have my info.

I then went to my bank to stop payment and they said they can't stop payment on a phone approval. My bakner and I called the customer service number togeather they hung up on us a number of times and would not answer any straight questions. I came home and got on line to find this co. What I found when I typed in their name was a long list of scam reports. So I'm just out the 49.95 they will be taking (stealing) from my account sometime today or tomorrow.
