Ripoff, promised the moon!

I received a phone call at my office from a salesman named Raymond who told me of a "good buy on Bic pens" and how he would let me buy them super cheap, complete with my company name and logo imprinted. Even offered free shipping and no charge for artwork. I was not interested in pens, but asked if they had other items. I was mainly interested in University of Kentucky Basketball schedule magnets with my company name and logo added on. No problem he said.

I told him the items were promos for a trade show and I had to have them in hand within 2 weeks. Again, no problem! My credit card was charged $189.00 for 200 magnets. The day before the "in hands" date, I called the company to check on the status, just in case. I could not get a human, just answering machine. I left a message. After a few hours, I called again. No answer. I checked my records and realized when Ray called me again, he called my cell number. I had written down the number he called from off my caller ID. So I called that number and someone other than Raymond answered. He said he was authorized by Ray to handle my call. I told him of my concerns and he said he'd check and call me within 15 minutes. Still waiting! I emailed the company, left messages, nothing!

I turned in the charge to my credit card company and the good people at Mastercard credited my account. After speaking with other Realtors in town, several of them had similar situations with ASAP Advertising. I've noticed within the past few days their website is offline, but we all know this type of ripoff artist will resurface under a different name. Please be careful! Oh, they also had a BBB logo on their site so I trusted them!
