1st National Government Grant Benefit
I think I have been scammed. Told I was selected for grant of 12,500 and gave my account number. Authorized a 49.95 charge can they hurt me more?

I was contacted on the phone by a "Ron Stuart". He said I was Approved and selected by U.S. Government for a grant of 12,500.

I did a very stupid thing and gave this guy my account number. I need to know if they can access my account without my consent. Also I approved them to take 49.95 from my account for "processing fees". Can I stop this?

What do I do to protect myself from this scam? All of this happened last night 8-26-05. I am calling my bank as soon as they open this morning.
