Said I won 1.2 million dollars in a lottery and asked for 1200 bucks in fees ripoff

This is in response to your last correspondence as regards the transfer of your prize money. There are two options either by bank transfer or delivery by courier express service.

For the bank transfer, we have contacted our correspondence bank concerning the transfer of your prize award of $1.2m (one million two hundred thousand united states dollars only). Below is what is required
of you for us to effect the transfer on your behalf:

1) you are required to open a non resident account in your name here in the republic of south africa where the funds shall be deposited before an onward transfer to your nominated account in your country.

2) the non resident account in your name must be activated with the sum of $3,600.00 (three thousand six hundred united states dollars) 0.3% of prize money as stipulated by the government/banking policy (reserve bank).

Alternatively the company attorney will endorse the neccessary documents of your prize release on your behalf so that your prize can be delivered to you by diplomatic courier express service.

In this case, you would have to take care of the charges below to enable the company attorney complete your prize claim process on your behalf before the deadline date.

1) notarization/attorney fee; = 580.00
2) courier charges; = 390.00
3) towntrack fin & sec. Company admin. Fee; = 120.00
=usd$1,090.00
plus 14% value added tax (vat)
=usd$ 152.00

Total; =usd$1,242.00

The fee above should be remitted to this office before the deadline date because the company attorney representing you shall be making cash payment on your behalf at the respective cost centres (high court and courier office).

Kindly note that, we can not make deductions from your prize claim with us because it is a bonded payment (certified cashier's cheque) and it must be remitted to you in full amount as stated by the lottery company so as to avoid fraudulent acts of any kind.

The company policy does not permit us to debit any winner, the reason is because of previous experiences with winners whom after recieving their prize claim, finds it difficult to make refund of the expenditure on their behalf by us. It is on this note that the company's policy was reviewed, hence you have to be responsible for the transfer of your prize to you.

For proof of your prize award, we have attached to this message a scaned copy of your prize award certificate which was to be presented to you on the final award ceremony day (15th july).

Since you can not come personaly, the hard cover copy of certificate (original) will be delivered alongside your prize cheque, download this for your perusal. For further instructions or enquiries do not hesitate to contact this office.
