Violates Child Labor, Cannot Pass Subway Inspections, Dirty, do not shop here Ripoff

As an ex-employee and someone whose sister works for the company, i would like to say thatthe burchmarts run in the southern maryland area violate so many laws its ridiculous. First of all, at least 75% of their employees are minors. Not only do they not recieve breaks at all, but they sell cigarettes to the minor employees. When i worked there at the age of 17, i became a cigarette smoker just so i would get a five minute break once in a while.By law in maryland, those under the age of 18 are required to have a continuous, half an hour break for every five hours worked. I was lucky to get five minutes.

Also, i would be skeptical before you eat here. At those locations with subways, not only has the mechanicville location not passed a subway inspection for nearly a year, their food has been found with mold in it, thier refrigerator unit stops working every so often, and Sonny Burch (the owner) is too cheap to give the place renovations, especially when it needed it - last year they had to buy drinking water to wash the dishes with because the water was bad.By all reasonable thought, this place should be shut down. Dishes arent cleaned properly, management is never around, and never ensures that work is done properly. If you ask me the whole place should be avoided like the plague. The only reason i go into there is to see my little sister, and i will only buy prepackaged non spoilable foods. You should do the same.
