They are very rude ripoff artist / liers from the getgo

I kept getting this message on my phone saying I am qualified to received a GRANT for $8,000.00. So finally in December I spoke to someone named Raymond Smith who took my bank information and assured me that I was approved and a fee of $257.00 was for processing the paperwork. I gave a date of January 10th for the
funds to be withdrawn from my account.

I check my acount and found that I wouldn't have enough to cover so I immediately call them 4 days before, when someone named Billy informed me it was too late to withdraw my transaction, so I said I would call my bank and stop payment, which I did. But to my surprise they resent that check to my bank again without notifing me on January 18th for payment which did not go through because I was not expecting it, so my bank charged me $30.00 fee and since I had close to the amount in my account my bank paid the check.

I then called them to cancel the transaction and have them put the funds back into my account, but the rep was very rude, she told me that I couldn't do that, because the information was on shipment to me already. I then became very upset and hung up the phone.

Six week went by and no information came so I called back and spoke to Rachel, who said I should of gotten the package by now, she verified my address and said another will be sent to me instantly, this was now March 7th. I called back on March 15th, still no package and no one answered their phones after a very long wait.

It's April 11th I just received a book very poorly put together a coupon and an offer page. So what do I do now what did I pay $257.00 for. So I called again a couple days ago, got a recording stating their office hours has changed. I stayed on the call for 1 hour and 38 mins no one picked up my call.

I just spoke to an attorney about this, has an appointment to meet with him, will explained what happened to me with this and hope he can assist me to get my money back for misrepresentation of information and also my fees I shouldn't have paid.

Let me know if anyone out there has other suggestions on this matter, I would gladly accepted the information. I've sent a letter to the BBB about this company a few days ago, I was also advised to contact the Dept. Of Commerce and the Attorney Generals Office on the matter. I'm going to keep trying until I get someone on the line to answer my questions on what I paid for and where is my $8,000 I was approved for immediately after the funds was taken out.

I'll let you know what the lawyer came up with and what steps I'll be taking next to get this resolved.
