Employee ripoff! Andrew dorko, president of unique marketing!

I moved to Florida at the begining of Spetember. My first job was at Unique Marketing in Longwood Florida on Highway 17-82 behind Wendy's next to the jewelry shop. The president of the company's name is ANDREW DORKO and his assistant is Charles, although I'm not sure of his last name. I was an employee there selling New Rochelle telephone packages, and presuading people to vote no on amendment 3.

I worked long hours some from 8am to 8 or 9 pm. I was never payed over time. When they fired me they cut my last 2 paychecks down from $7.00 and hr to $ 5.15 an hour. On the night shift they made me clock out then re-clock in on the back of my time card. When I asked for my time card and a copy of it, they refused it. When I saw the copy itself it was only of the front side. Between te 2nd and the 9th of October, I worked a total of 52.5 hrs. I received a pay of $164.

Then between the hours of the 12th and 15th I worked 29 hours and received a paycheck of $48.00! When I went in speak to them, they kicked me out telling me I wasn't allowed on their facilities. They were so rude, especially ANDREW DORKO! My friend had a similar issue with them. Only with her, THEY signed her time card trying to copy her signature, and crossed out all of her clock in times and completely edited her whole time card. She went to them and told them in order to edit a time card you need initials next to each edit.

They proceeded to kick her out and threatened to call the cops on us. I filied a complaint with the labor board, and a nice lady with the name of Mrs. Brooks spoke to me. She got in contact with them, and they FINALLY said they were going to mail me the money they owed me. COnsidering I presently work not that far from them, I told Mrs. Brooks I didn't trust them to mail it and was going to go there in person and get my owed check. When I got there, they IMMEDIATELY kicked me out saying they didn't owe me ANYTHING. At this point I called Mrs. Brooks on my cell phone and put her on the phone with ANDREW DORKO's assistant, Charles.

Charles told her he faxed her my time card with proof that I wasn't owed anything. Mrs. Brooks asked him to re-faxed it. They then asked for her fax number! Mrs. Brooks and I found it odd that they said they faxed this info yesterday, but did not even know her fax number. The info they stated they were faxing was the FRONT side of my time card. Mrs. Brooks and I both agreed that ANDREW DORKO had lied to her and said that he was mailing the fax to keep himself and his company out of trouble. They were not expecting me to just randomly show up there. They never had any intention of sending this check.

Therefore they lied to me, and to the LABOR BOARD. ANDREW DORKO AND HIS COMPANY ARE TROUBLE! I will post this story on this website and Bogusoperation.com as well. I also reported them to the BBB and am calling the state attorny's office as well as bringing them to court. I don't even want my money back. I just want them shut down before they do this to any more employees. And believe me, I have spoken to other employees of that company that have not been paid either.

Furthermore, I will be contacting New Rochelle telephone company about their poor employee service, and how UNIQUE MARKETING is putting a bad name out for the NEW ROCHELLE SERVICES. Think about it guys, if ANDREW DORKO rips off his own employees like that, I WOULDNT PUT IT PAST HIM TO BE LYING AND SCHEMING HIS CUSTOMERS AS WELL! To future employees, DO NOT WORK FOR UNIQUE MARKETING, ANDREW DORKO, or that man named CHARLES! They will not pay you your full amount.
