Call One AKA Premiere Movie Pass
This company even uses a translator to scam its victims!

My husband's uncle is a new arrival to the United States from Nepal. His English isn't that great.

This company called him and told him that they were from the Federal Government and that he had "won" money ($8000) as a lottery from the government. At first Uncle didn't understand what these folks were talking about, so they enterprisingly found a translator and called him back. They called several times and made him believe he would be in trouble if he did not provide his bank account number. Further, since Uncle is a diversity visa winner, AKA Green Card Lotto, he believed these scamsters. They told him the only way to transfer the money was for him to give them his bank account number and that they would first take a small fee out to pay for the transfer.

Needless to say, no $8000 was forth coming and two amounts were withdrawn.

One was by Premiere Movie Pass for $119.90 and the other was for Call One for $149.90.

What's interesting is that these scammers figured out that Uncle could speak Hindi even though he is a sherpa. It makes me think that they have access to some database and are calling on this basis.

Has anyone investigated and found out if they do more than steal a few hundred from their victims? Please post if so!

By the way, I'm trying to post a response to an existing report on this company, but am not sure that I am doing this correctly.
