Ripp Off Radon Company

This company is a rip off. They were scheduled to come out and put a radon mitigation system for approx. $950. How can they quote you if they have never seen your house??? Anyway we called days before they were scheduled to come out and do job to cancel the work and just come and "look" and give a correct price. They guy said ok. So we scheduled another company to come out and give us a price also. After he came out we found out that it was going to cost hundreds more then what was quoted. He was there 10 min if that and left. The other company came out right after SWAT Environmental and spent a half hour with us explaining what they suggested to do was totally wrong. Mind you, we were going to do most of the work ourselves. They were providing a fan, and maybe sealing a drain or 2. We were doing the piping, electric and even having a roofer come out to seal the pipe properly coming out of our roof. After further researching this online, we found out we could do everything ourselves for about $350.00 The fan they proposed wasn't even the right size nor did we need to seal what they said we needed to. I got a bill emailed to me for $195.00 for a cancellation fee and have been getting it emailed to me everyday for about 2 weeks. I called to get this resolved and no one returns calls. Finally talked to "Ashley" "The Boss" and she said we cancelled and that they do not do site visits. Only phone quotes. We were not told that on the phone EVER nor did we verbally or sign any CONTRACT holding us to having the work done. We were NEVER told about a cancellation fee and anyway, we call over 48 hrs in advance to cancel work done. We were never told there was a charge for a site visit. I told her I was not paying it and she said that I will pay it and I will email you the bill everyday until you pay it. This company is a total rip off!!!
