Macadamia nuts

A friend bought of Publix Brand Macadamia Nuts. Nothing on can to tell where the nuts were harvested or from. Only that they were distributed by Publix. They are awful. Truly. The taste is terrible. Tried mixing with in other foods (cookies, recipe on can, etc.) and all were tainted by the poor taste of the nuts. My advice is that if you can't measure up to the competition, know when to fold. Better not to try than to fail this miserably.
