A man came to my door talking about how he had moved from Miami, Florida to attend college here and that he was selling magazines to get a grant for $8,000 if he reached 20,000 points in sales.
Not actually wanting the magazines but wanting to help the guy I was eventually coaxed into supposedly purchasing the magazines for St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Upon later research, the salesman was arrested in Florida for battery charges, and the address on the receipt for St. Jude's did not exist.
