Miscellaneous

Bought a 110cc atv last year. Seemed ok at the time. But with use, the battery would go dead. Went back to ask about it. Was talked to like I was a child and eventually given a new battery.

Second battery went dead just like the first one. Did some tests of my own. The charging system was only putting out 6 Volts instead of 12V killing the battery. Told them this and was told I was worng and that that was how it is supposed to function. I told them that to charge a 12V batteery you need like 14V charging system. She didn't get it. Eventually she got the guy who said "oh yeah, that's your rectifier" and gave me another one. I put it in and no change. Still just 6V.

Took it in for service. They kept it for 6 weeks, said it was fixed. I tested it at home (should have tested it right there) and still 6V.

These things are piece of crap. I tried a couple of other ones they had in the show room and they all put out 6V. If you are going to buy one, get them to prove to you that the charging system puts out 12V. Good luck. I'd buy somewhere else.
