I received a phone call from someone from Sunset Publications claiming that I requested a subscription online for their magazine and that I needed to give them my debit card number for payment. They insisted that I made this online request and that I would owe them more money if I did not pay them. So I gave them my debit card number out of fear of being in debt and was charged $119.90 the next day. I realized after the fact that I made no such online request and immediately changed my debit card so they would not continue to bill me. I called Sunset publication the following week to let them know that I did not want their magazine and to cancel whatever they had in their records. The woman I spoke to on the phone told me that I would receive something in the mail to fill out and to return it on a certain date, unfortunately I don't remember the date. She also said I needed to call back once I received this form. I never received any form nor did I call by the date they indicated because I never received anything to stop this subscription from being mailed. Thus, they are accusing me of forfeiting a contract which I never agreed to. From then on I have been getting harassing phone calls to this day and magazines being mailed to my address more than once a month that I'm not interested in. The majority of the calls have been coming from Oregon, the number is 503-403-2675. Can someone please help me to resolve this problem and stop these people from harassing me.
