Got a call from someone at an "anonymous" number that said my loan had been approved and gave me an approval number and told me that I must call this number 347-478-7862 to confirm the loan and get the transfer. I called the number and the guy told me my loan had been approved and that the funds would be deposited within the hour, but that first I had to prepay the first months loan payment and a security deposit. He said this was mandated by Section 31.62 of the Federal blah blah blah. I asked him exactly what statute he was referring to and he said "it was brand new". I told him it was illegal to demand payment up front for such a loan and that it was a scam. He hung up. The scary part is that they had all of my information.
