Enterprise Rent-a-Car ripoff!

ERAC is doing unethical business practices with customers, including major insurance companies and Car manufacturers. With the insurance companies they encourage the renter to call their adjustor and complain about getting a comparable vehicle even though the insurance company pays for basic transportation. I was told to instruct the renter to tell the adjuster they either had children to haul around or they used their van/SUV/truck for work and needed comparable transportation. This provided more income to ERAC by getting an SUV/minivan/Truck on the road over a midsize car.

ERAC would tell a insurance renter they didn't have any full size cars and put them in a smaller vehicle. ERAC then at the end of the rental do a unit switch from the beginning of the rental to a full size car. This would charge the insurance company for the larger car. The renter would never know because on their copy it showed the smaller vehicle. The final invoice would go to the insurance company.

ERAC has contracts with major vehicle manufacturers for warranty replacement. GM in specific it is 30$ per day unless the customer has an SUV or Luxury vehicle. The agreement is they must be put into a GM vehicle. ERAC would again put the customer in a smaller vehicle by saying the larger was not available but do a unit switch and charge GM the larger $45 per day. The VIN# of the rental shows on the invoice of the vehicle rented. ERAC uses a a GM unit number so the vin shows but puts the renter in a non GM product. GM never knows.

ERAC does this and makes double the income by over billing.
