I received a mail from a certain Edan G. Cale, HR Manager claiming to be affiliated with Glamis Technology Inc. He said he has received my CV for a work-at-home Client Support position. Since my profile was on Elance, I thought they must have found me there.
He gave the link to the company website as http://www.Glamistech.com. The website had all the complete details the business, operations, an address and etc.
I was emailed an application form to fill out and stating that last date of deadline was June 26. It mentioned as well to add admin@Glamistech.com in my Address book for safe delivery.
Edan G. Cale, HR Manager sent back a copy of an Employment Contract of Online Client support work and on acceptance an ID card and an Employment Confirmation Letter.
The mail said after receiving the contract they will start to send the work on Weekly basis, and that I will be Glamis Inc's Part Time Permanent Employee for 6 months and after this period I can extend the agreement for another 6months, all I have to do is to type their data and Clients data on sheets. It also mentioned I will get my first paid project after submission of contract).
On July 6, I have received my first project which I need to send back in 3 days since it's the first one.
They provided on a zipped file 1: Data Sheets to Complete (Project Pack) 2: Step by Step Guideline and Tutorial (Guideline) 3: Salary invoice (Salary).
They asked to buy a software via Lemsoftware.com. The site mentioned free trial is not allowed and also does not accept payment via PayPal but only through Western Union and by buying it's equivalent using CashU cards (https://www.cashu.com/).
They promised to send the salary via Western Union on July 18 along with the next project. On July 19, glamistech.com was no longer available. My emails to Edan G. Cale (admin@glamistech.com) kept on bouncing back. I tried to search about the company but could not find anything on Google.
Be careful. Do not entertain any online jobs from a certaine Edan G. Cale (HR Manager).
