They are a scam. They call themselves Legal Repossessions Group. This company doesn't exist. If they call you, make sure you contact your local courthouse to confirm you have no claim against you, then call the FTC and file a complaint against them. This way, if we have many against them, they will shut them down. They have recently threatened to take my car due to a credit card I paid off 8 years ago. They told me they had hired a repo company to take my car. They knew my address and the make and model of my car, but could not answer what my name or address was when I actually OWNED the credit card. I have filed complaints with the FTC, the Attorney General's office, and notified the bank I have my car loan through. Although I have informed them I am on to their scam and I know it is false (which they get mad and hang up on you or tell you they're going to take your car anyway), they continue to harass. If you get these people harassing you, file a complaint with the FTC so we can shut these guys down for good.
