Got a call from Linda who explained to me that I'd been approved for a $3000 loan. I didn't apply for one, but, I figured I'd get the particulars. $150/mo starting 15 Aug. 22 payments. Sounds legit. Expensive, but, legit enough. All I have to do is sent them a "small sum" to verify my identity. You smell something? Me, too. So I googled their number (209-437-4042) and lo and behold, here I am. I wouldn't send these criminals a penny. If they call you, keep them on the phone for as long as you can, waste their time, then send them nothing. That's what I did.
