I was working on the SpeedDate website and falling asleep. I believe I inadvertently clicked on something and when I looked at the screen again I was welcomed to their subscriber community and given a confirmation number. They did have my billing information because just 12 or so hours prior I registered my debit card info in order to pay the. 99 for a verified certification label. Assuming there was some error, I tried to work the site and found I was truly registered because I could access everything. However, i never completed the form to become a subscriber and never selected a time choice for a subscription with an assigned fee. I would have never signed up for the 12 month subscription because at that moment i only had around $28 on my card and all i receive each month is $710. That is an ssi disability amount. While i have wanted to subscribe over the several months i have been a member, i have known i could not do so and pay my monthly bills. Since there was only $28 on the debit card, i have no idea how they can extract payment.
it is presently 3:59 A.M. So i plan to try and call speeddate.com around 8 A.M. Today and see what can be done. Since their policy is "no refund, " and after reading some of the other complaints, i doubt i will get any kind of satisfaction.
I will be contacting the ssi office tomorrow, if necessary, after talking to the speed date office (if they will answer) at a number i saw (1-877-328-3006) on another complaint about them. I have no idea what they will say or advise me to do—but i do know i only had around $28 on the card when speed date charged me.
