I had a gym membership with a company called TNT fitness.in Oct they closed their doors and changed location from the above address to582 NW University Blvd Port st Lucie, Fl 34986. They notified me of this move and I continued to attend and use their facility in the new location. Meanwhile a new club opened about mid November in the Port St Lucie Blvd Location. This new club was called Mission Fitness. The 2 clubs were up and running at the same time until Feb when TNT Closed their doors. I showed up one day to find the club empty. No notice on the door no signs and the entire space vacated. My 1 year contract was up as of March 21 and I was to continue on a month to month, so I just cut my losses. I received NO notice of any sort.in March I noticed that I was being charged for my monthly membership fee but the billing company was now Mission fitness. I called ABC Financial (who bills on fitness clubs behalf) and they informed me that Mission Fitness had taken over my contract. I told them that I did not agree to that and the new club had no right to take payment from my card when I had not been notified by the club that they were my new service provider. I disputed it with my credit card company and they agreed with my side. I also sent notice to the club that I did not have a membership with them and did not want anything further from them. It was sent by registered mail. The move of the club from its original location to the new location was 6.69miles and back was also 6.69 miles. The contract clearly says that I can cancel without penalty if the club moves further than 5 miles and they must provide me with the information of the club move or transfer of membership within 30 days. The first move of the club I was notified about the second transfer I had no Idea about. Even though the transfer is back to the same place it is still more than 5 miles from where the club was at when it closed its doors. Mission Fitness club is now harassing me saying I still owe them money and have sent it to an attorney to collect. I am disputing this as I have never had anything to do with this club. I would like them to stop harassing me, admit that I owe them nothing and restore my credit standing. Camille Sullivan
