Design Changes Needed

I have 2 complaints about our LG Dishwasher... And Bottom Freezer Brushed Steel Refrigerator. The dishwasher stenciling has disappeared, apparently from the cleaner and the refrigerator ice / water dispenser is all scratched up because of the metal used instead of a plastic or non-scratch surface. My appliances are only 6 months old and we are not hard on them at all. LG's response was it was a cosmetic problem and we should call a serviceman. Our appliance store had no solution. Come on these aren't rocket science fixes. Anybody else having these problems with LG?
