Policy # (Personal Information Removed) Acct, (Personal Information Removed)
I am my mother's POA, she has since died 5/18. I am the trutee of her estate and trying to straighten out what bills she may owe.
She had a house insured thru this co., Farmers Ins. Agent Magdalena Woroniecki 847-621-0888. I called no answer so I called billing 1-877-327-6392.
On 5/1 I was told to FAX a letter to Mr. Gary Pric, Dist Mgr.
FAX 630-627-0196 with my POA telling them the house was sold 4/30 which I did and have proof the FAX went to them.
I paid a partial premium of $23l. 82 for the current year knowing that the house would be sold 4/30. It was insured thru 5/1 to make sure the closing occurred which it did. The total bill for the current year due 4/10 was $463.64. I received a bill 5/30 stating I owe $241.82.
Today I called 1-877-327-6392 Billing. I Spoke with Elizabeth 630-627-2244. She had no record of the FAX and said Mr. Pric was out of the office. She directed me to Karen, ILL State Office 630-907-4300. She directed me to Sean Grimason, Div Mrktg. Mgr. Cell (Personal Information Removed). After two conversations with him, he said he would come to my house and pick up the info. (He's in ILL. And I am in KY). After I pointed this out to him, he told me to FAX the
original letter I sent to Mr. Pric, my POA, and proof of sale. I do not need to be charged an additional attorney fee to show them proof of sale, but I told them to contact my attorney Drost, Kiviahan McMahon & O'Connor 847-577-2277. I tried to FAX the info to the no. 866-417-5447 Svc. Request 1-288571762 he gave me. This no. Is for Country Homes Leasing Office for apartments.
It seems obvious to me that I'm getting the run around and no one
wants to cancel this policy and refund the funds due my mother's trust. I would appreciate your help.
I thought Farmer's was a reputable company. Obviously if I wanted a
new policy they would be at my door immediately, but to cancel a policy, one with the policy holder being deceased and her house sold is an entirely different matter.
