Claim to be selling legitimate businesses pertaining to gathering information on failing companies. Claim to work directly for Visa. The initial claim is that failing companies are listed on a national directory identifying only the company name and debt. They claim that contact info for the company is not available over the internet on typical Yellow Pages website so the person being scammed will need to look up the requested info in their local phone directory and relay it back to this fake company. And this fake company Charges $499 to get started. It's not at all logical but my 86 year old grandmother fell for it..
