Rec'd call from Kevin - indicating he's from Microsoft Tech Rescue Dept. Claimed problem with our Microsoft Windows - couldn't tell what version we had. Claimed he had the serial number rattled off some long number that has nothing to do with anything we own. Asked for his ID and call back number. ID#MSC1891 - call back 877-623-9181. Suggested we go to internet to check it out, no doubt they have some scam site set up to look like Microsoft. Didn't give any info - phone number just had recorded message. Reported to FBI and local law enforcement. Search of phone number turns up VirtualPCSecure.com and also BetaSecure.com - virtually identical sites with slightly different graphics and different names - South Africa common denomenator. Dumb people!
