I purchased two puppies from George and Sue Doyle in June. As soon as the puppies arrived it was obvious that they were both sick. One of the puppies had a spot of fur missing on her side and when I called to ask about it I was told that she had been bit by another dog that day at the airport when George was dropping her off. Her eyes were also glued shut with discharge and when I wiped it away I could see that her eyes were flaming red. When I asked about this I was told that it was probably just from the forest fires in their neighborhood. I immediately made emergency appointments with my vet. It was discovered that they both arrived with fleas which caused tapeworm in both puppies. The medication that they had to take caused one puppy to lose a lot of fur. This was just the beginning of emergency vet appointments and they both have had to have many corrective surgeries. When the puppies arrived there was no paperwork with them as George and Sue promised there would be. I literally had to beg them to send the paperwork. They emailed me documents that appeared to be tampered with. They used whiteout to cover a previous owner's name and write my name in. Also, I found evidence online (Sue's facebook page) that they lied about the age of one of the puppies. They told me that she was born on February 15th but Sue had pictures of her posted as early as January 14th. I am convinced that the puppy was sold to someone else and then returned and neglected by the Doyles. Her eyes were in such horrible condition - she had ulcers on both. She needed more corrective surgery on both eyes as well. They told me that the other puppy had beautiful blue eyes but in fact she does not. One eye appeared to be blueish-gray because of a birth defect that causes her vision to be blurry in the right eye. She also needs corrective surgery for her eyes. Both puppies had luxating patellas and required leg surgery and then months of physical therapy. They have each only had one leg done but will need to do the other legs as well. I could go on and list many more issues that the dogs have. My vet was disgusted with the condition of both puppies and said that they absolutely should not have been sold as healthy dogs. Obviously I have paid to have all of their medical treatment done whenever they have needed it. George and Sue have been no help and have not offered to reimburse any money. They have never called to check on the puppies or apologize for the condition they sent the puppies in. Do not support their business. They need to stop breeding sick puppies.
