This company called me asking about "Insurance" for my credit cards from RBC.

She said she was from BRI Marketing working with RBC

I was wary so I hung up on the lady and called my bank.

The bank took the number and the name and did a search, they came up with nothing and informed me that they had no dealings with any company by that name or with that number.

The customer service rep from RBC then gave me a reference number and said they are starting an investigation on this company.

She also said NOT to give the company ANY information at all, they they were not really with RBC.

This is a scam, luckily I was smart enough to check with RBC. I looked it up and talked to people and they have pretended to work with TD Bank as well as others AND cable companies in the form of E-mail or Phone.

Do not give them financial information!
