Miscellaneous

I subscribed with Archives.com for a 7 day - "Free" trial offer. The companies website stated that they would require a credit card to begin the free trial offer and that I wouldn't be charged unless I chose to continue with the service following the initial free offer. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. I utilized my PayPal account to begin the free offer - unfortunately, I rarely review my statements - I had a free moment to review it today and learned that Archives.com has been charging me $7.95/month for the past (4) months. I contacted Archives.com for a refund - they cancelled the account and offered to reimburse me one months service fees. I didn't find this acceptable - as a result, I asked to speak with a manager. The manager offered an additional one month refund. I informed her that I wouldn't be satisfied without a complete refund which she was unwilling to do. I expect to receive a complete refund or I'll continue to express my dissatisfaction with this service. Going forward, I feel that Archives.com should (clearly state) that individuals signing up for their "Free" service, that they will be charge $7.95 (ongoing) following the 7 day trial!
