I saw an ad for a pomeranian on backpage.com. I contacted the sender via text for additional details. I was contacted a few days later with the information that the puppy was still available and we discussed details like shot records, age, weight, and etc. Since we were not in the same state it was agreed that the puppy would be shipped to me on that Monday and delivered to my do via a courier service. I agreed to pay the shipping costs. I sent the money western union. That Monday I was contacted by the courier asking for a deposit due to needing to upgrade the crate to one with a built in air unit because of unstable weather caused by heat and humidity. I would recieve 95% of it back upon safe delivery of my pet. I sent the deposit. Again via western union. The next day I recieved confirmation of my pets flight along with a copy of the reservation and an hour later an email stating my pet was unable to be boarded due to lack of paperwork like insurance, adoption papers, etc. They could take care of it for me but only for another deposit that again would be refundable upon delivery of my pet. I would again have to make the deposit through western union to someone in another country but as a favor they would not charge me for the attorney fees or the fac It that the puppy had to stay overnight with them again. When I pushed back and did not comply I was threatened with pet abandonment, the puppy being impounded, and adopted to someone else and they would keep my deposit. They also became very irate and chastised me like a child when I questioned the check in process when pets are dropped off and what documents are required during that process. They also accused me of not being sincere about wanting a pet otherwise I would cooperate and give them the second deposit. I still have not done so.
