Hi, Thank you for taking the time to help. My name is Donna Doherty. My husband, Joseph received an 'Award Claim Notice' and usually discards them at my request however he decided that this time it was legit and deposited a check in the amount of $4,500.00 into our joint checking acct. April 15 I was notified that there was a return fee of $20.00 for this check. I'm sure many others have claims much much larger but it is the fact that this is my money and $20.00 these days is precious to us and it is the principal that there are people out there that have the nerve to gain access of any amount of money that does not rightfully belong to them. I'm not sure if this amount would even matter but letting the right people know of this scam does.
