Closing My Credit Card After Small Charge From Unknown Company

I don't know how these people got my credit card number, but it is very scary. I am going to close the account before they charge more on my card. This is fraud: they make a small charge, see if they can get away with it, and then start charging more. I had nothing to do with this company, and I don't even know who they are or what they are. I am extremely angry that I have to close my credit card account!
