Miscellaneous

I received a call from this number, telling me that I was eligible for a grant of $3400.00 from the federal government. The gentleman on the phone had a strong Indian accent. He said he needed either my bank or credit card information to direct deposit the money. I advised him that I don't give that information over the phone because of scams. He became offended and stated "This is not a scam!" Then he asked me if I wanted the money or not. I told him that if the government wanted to give me money, they could notify me by mail. He said "Have a good day" and hung up. I immediately called the IRS to file a suspicious phone call complaint and then I found this website. I want to get the word out, so no one loses their money.
