I did provide my credit card number for the IRS refund but then realized it was a scam when I was told I had to purchase a $200.00 prepaid card for an error I created on my taxes because I prepared them myself. When I explained I have always used an accountant they said that could not be true. I questioned their motives and said I had to look into this further he hung up on me. I am concerned because I naively gave it to them. This needs to stop. They wont answer when I try to call back to tell them to stop and that I absolutely do not authorize any payment. Please help.
