Express Distribution AKA Interstate Distribution AKA Discover Products Toner SCAM! Rip-off!

I recently began a new job as office manager when I received a call from Al Rose. He sped through the name of his company and said that he just needed a signature to mail us our toner for our copier.

Well, last week we had actually needed someone to come in and fix our copy machine. I had called the repair man, but was not here when he came. When Al Rose spoke to me he asked me, "Do you know who called us?" I said that it was most likely me. And since I wasn't here when the repair man came I assumed it was discussed that we needed new toner and that this was just a finalization of last week's repairs.

Al Rose told me that I would be getting a call by Abby Cooper to verify my shipping and billing address. They already had it, and told it back to me. They also had my phone and fax number on hand. Abby called and said that she would be sending me a fax and I just needed to sign it and get it back to them to okay the shipment.

I received the fax minutes later, in which time, I had already contacted my supervisor to ask if she had approved the purchase. She had never approved anything and asked me if I was aware of the toner scams going on. I was not, but then I decided with their fax in hand, I would look up their name. Sure enough, it came up on consumer complaints and when I called back to cancel any order they may be sending us Al Rose transferred me to Abby who said Al would give me a call back.

I didn't think Al would be giving me a call back, however, about half an hour later he did. He said he received a note saying I had questions about our order and wanted to know what they were. I told him off and hung up.

The bill they sent us was quoting 4 cartons of toner at "last year's price" of $339 which totaled to $1,356.00 excluding shipping, handling and sales tax!!!

Please DONT get sucked in by this. How they got all our information, I don't know. And moreover, it seems from the other testimonies they are preying on new office mangers and receptionist... How they know when someone is new, is even more of a mystery. BUT watch out!!!
