Miscellaneous

While on vacation we purchased a Falcon All Terrain Combo for $255.00, tow bar $765.00 and Roadmaster xl bracket kit $350.00 and paid $400.00 for professional labor to have it installed for a total of $1770.00.
We just bought the car with very low mileage and opted out of paying $7.00 for tow insurance since it was a great running car. Every time we drove the car after they installed it there was a burning smell.
We came from out of state to have them look at it but the service department was closed and we had to leave. When we returned to the area when the wiring melted together and the car quit in the middle of nowhere. We called for a tow but couldn't afford the extra $590.00 for the tow bill besides having the car repaired. Also the car rental would have been $175.00.
After hours a lady stopped and then sent her husband to help. After dark and over $140.00 in fuel, we had towed it to Klamath Falls to be repaired and returned to Chiloquin to wait for five days. The fuel pump had also quit after trying to start it for hours. We had to pay the repair bill of $779.60.
The wiring was not intended to be wired to the cars wiring at all but they wired it into the cars power module (the computer) and also routed incorrectly and zip tied to the cam bus wiring. The wires wore together and shorted out cam/bus system setting check engine light to come on.
We contacted their insurance company and explained that the car needs to be put back to as close to original as possible, even though we can never trust it again. We wanted it all removed. The tow hitch removed because it is mounted crooked and rattles and I wanted the original wiring replaced on the car which I had requested before the repair but they only spliced. Not getting anywhere with the insurance company, we took the car in to get an estimate to remove everything just to find out that the wiring is routed through the rear coil springs. The estimate is $225.00.
We have requested a refund and cost of repairs without a reply. We're only asking:
REFUND 1770.00
REPAIRS 779.60
REMOVAL 225.00
TOTAL $2774.60
We are still loosing at that but we are forty miles from town and need a reliable car.

Thank You,
David and Debbie (Personal Information Removed)
