They contacted me after I had applied to their parent company www.easyloans.co.uk.

The person on the phone was called James and he told me that I could get a loan for £3000. To get this all I would have to do is pay them a refundable £120 to cover the insurance. I was told that if I did this I would receive the money plus the £120 within half an hour. I did this and they then told me that I would have to pay an extra £160 to cover tax, again refundable, something they had not mentioned before. They told me that if I did that the money would be put in my account immediately.

As I was in need of the money I did this. After half an hour they told me that the money would be in my account within one hour. An hour later it had not be transferred to my account. I phoned them and they told me that as the banks were closed they would put the money into my account first thing the next day.

The next morning they phoned and told me that they were having problems with their software and they'd only be able to transfer multiples of £500, so to get my money I would have to pay another £220. I refused to do this and told them that either they pay the £3500 into my account and I would then pay them the £220 or they should refund me the £280 I had already paid. They told me that the only way I would get my money from them is to pay the £220 and they would pay £3500 into my account. I refused and demanded my money back or I would contact trading standards and the police. They simply told me that that would not get me my money. I have spoken to 3 people, James, Richard and someone else who claimed to be the loan manager. Do not use this company or any other subsiduary of easyloans as they are scam artists.
