BAD GROUND TURKEY - Ground Turkey

I purchased some ground turkey (one pound) from Perdue at Stop & Shop in Granby, CT and the expiration date was 03/14 and I had opened it on 03/12 to cook it and I noticed the bottom of the ground chicken was grey and almost black on the bottom with a weird smell so I had to discard it because I didnt want anybody to get ill. I went back to Stop & Shop in Granby, CT and they said to contact the manufacturer about this so here it is. I didnt get the UPC code due to it smelt so bad I wanted it out of the house and never thought of coping down the UPC code. Now I guess im totally out of luck and lost my money so I wanted to write your company to let you know about this but trying to contact your company is not easy due to I tried to contact via email and since I didnt have the UPC number the email was blocked and I tried calling for work but Perdue kept me on hold but I could not wait since I was waiting for 10 minutes. Perdue is slick because their hours to call is during my work time and they make it hard for you to contact them if your a working person so that keeps them from talking and resolving the problem which keeps them looking good. If I had feed my kids the ground turkey and they got sick I would have taken other action. Perdue states they care but when you have a problem and are missing something as a UPC code, forget it you wont get any satisfaction in letting them know there was a problem with their products. I was only trying to be nice in letting Perdue know but of course, the are a big corporation and we are just little people who they really dont care about. Be very careful in your purchase because if you have a problem and forget some information, your out of luck and out of your money and nobody to contact. Its a shame because I have been using Perdue products for many years and I cant believe this is the way a person gets treated by the big corporation of Perdue just trying to do the right thing before somebody may get sick and Perdue makes it hard to the right thing. I guess they must want me to go to another company and for the retailers (Stop & Shop) that carry Perdue products lol they wouldnt even back it up and told me to contact the company lol what a joke. PLEASE check the products from Perdue right after you buy it because with all the bad/tainted food out there somebody is going to get real sick or maybe even pass on due to companies not caring.
