Miscellaneous

When I answered my phone on March 5 at aproximately 11:30 AM, a voice stated I had an offer for a $2000 Expedia Vacation. The agent (Carlos) stated I was being offered a discounted vacation package for $999. When I began asking questions for more details, Carlos left the line and Dean Shields came on the line. He offered me the same "deal" for $799. He asked me to go to the Karisma Hotel and Resorts website. I did and then I asked if I could choose from any of these resorts and he replied yes. Dean Shields stated that there would be no sales presentation and no further charges beyond the stated $799. After I agreed to the package (based on the lies I was being told), I gave him my credit card number. Within the hour I received a few emails outlining the agreement.in order to reserve the vacation, both my wife and I MUST sign a document agreeing to attend a 120 minute sales presentation. The document also required us to disclose our combined income. The outlined "eligible" resorts included 3 of the Karisma resorts. However the resorts we were interested in staying at were not included in the offer. None of this was disclosed to me prior to purchase. Upon contacting my credit card company, they informed me that $893 had been approved. When I called the next day (today March 6 at aproximately 10:30 AM, I spoke to Jordan Jones. I asked for their fax (to send them my cancellation in writing), he stated "We do not have a fax". The agent Jordan Jones did not accept any of my complaints. I stated I am calling to cancel the contract. He refused. Upon further discussion of my complaints Jordan terminated the call.
