Today I was investigating a sitution with my bank about a transaction that occured concerning my account. Apprently there was a collection company taking money out of my account that was put in place by a company called Americredit. I have had transactions like this before and had to change my bank information. This was about 4 months ago. They have now caught up to me and they took $475 out of my account before my paycheck even hit the account. I called bank and they called this 8002111805 number. A woman answered. She asked for my Social. I asked her why she needed my social. Why she could not identify me any other way. I explained to the woman from the bank that was on the line that this has happened before and that these people had to be stopped. The lady identified my account number. I mentioned that people steal account numbers all the time and that these people pose themselves as the bank you are with to take out money however they wish. This Americredit people were transferring money out of my account every other day. It was amounts like 14.50 and 19.50 and big transactions were going in at 200. I couldn't access it but then next day $475 was coming out as a pre authorized payment. I am telling the bank that this was happening and it all should be on file as i just reported these incidents about 4 months ago. They reused to give me my money back. They claim that because my account number was verified that the bank would not reimburse me for that. I demanded my money back and they refused.
