Dear George Foreman,
As a long time user of the Original Foreman Grill, I thought you should know of my disappointment in the Next Grilleration G5. I am a retired design engineer with a machine shop fabrication background. I believe the grill was not tested very well, in-that it has dangerous design flaws and poor wear factors. The foremost dangerous flaw is the leveling and tilt lock does not work at all. Secondly the pedastool and the hinges are too flimsy for the weight of the grill casing it to be unstable when opening and closing. The latches holding the grill plates in place do not protrude into the locks far enough and can easily pop loos. These above mentioned flaws almost lead to some burn injuries if i had not some mechanical since and reacted quickly. The grill is use sparingly at my shop for lunch, with less than two months use the black no stick surface has worn through to the metal where the grills meet one another. I will admit the grill has a lot of versatility, and cleans easily and being a fairly good cook, I have found several uses. But sorry to say, it is hardly worth the $75.00 I spent.
