I applied for a loan online, now I regret it I am worried a scam company now has my info including social, DL, bank info, birth date, etc...
I got a call today saying I was approved for $10,000 and they gave me an approval number pk712249 and to call Kent at 415-935-5851. First my payment was $480 for $10,000 and I need to go to CVS and buy a Vanilla Relo Network card (same as a green dot card where you may reload). He said to prove I can make the payments and that I am a real person to put $480 on the card and call him so he can verify. Once verified he'd get the funds sent to my bank account within an hour. At that time he said I could go back to CVS and get my money refunded. He then said, if I want the full $23,000 I can get you a monthly payment at $190 and to then put $579 on the card. I asked, so you are telling me there is no fee to get this loan, correct? He said, oh no, we cannot take any money, you will go directly back to CVS for your refund, I just need to verify the funds are on the card. I knew something was wrong first when my payment for $10,000 was so much less than the one for $23,000, next - there are many better ways to verify my info is legit that don't include putting money on a card, how about seeing a bank statement of mine! Prior to quoting the $579 and offering $23,000 he asked what my available funds are in my bank account. Both guys I spoke with had accents and there were connection issues, I tracked the phone number to I applied for a loan online, the carrier is off this website: http://www.phonebooth.com/business-system-features

I told him I need to research the company and likely have more questions if I have interest in moving forward, he said search Consumer Pay Day Loans, so here I am! Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment.

It seems the pitch has improved a bit in their favor if people "buy in" to the fact they say you will be refunded within an hour. Scary people like this exist in the world.

For those looking for a reputable company, try Mobiloans.com. I won't guarantee anything but so far my experience is great. I didn't pay any upfront fee's and my $1,000 loan showed up in my account the next day just like they said it would.

I wonder if they say they are Consumer Pay Day Loans but actually no affiliation??
