I was at the website amazon.com. I use Mozilla with high security and anti-pop up, etc. A brief four question survey popped up. The questions were about how often I visit Amazon.com, etc. I answered the questions, won a prize, was redirected to another website. Chose a prize then was redirected to MarinellaRose.com. I picked out the $129 value heart shaped pendant for 0$. I paid $7.98 with the card. I clicked on terms and conditions but it did not pop up. I then google mapped the address and found it to be a Private mail box shipping place (legit as reported by their neighbor business that I called, the shipping place phone is 818.557.8245). Also, spent time talking to Amazon.com folks who noted that they have no such survey going on, etc.). Today, at the opening of their business hours, I called "their" number at 866.208.0269... Which turned out to be an order company that works with several vendors. Upon further inquiry, I learned that my "free" gift for answering the "amazon" survey was actually a 14 day trial for which if I had not cancelled I would have been charged $98.00. I was assured it was cancelled. Most likely this charge would have been recurrent as well. This "marketing" was obviously deceptive... Questions about the amazon.com website but no connection to amazon... Being told I won a free gift... Etc. I also filed a complaint with the FTC.
