My wife and I recently had our old kitchen completely redone. We went to several kitchen remodeling stores and also to both Home Depot. & Lowe's. The salesman in Home Depot was overly concerned about wiring in the kitchen soffits. I could not convince him that they were empty even though I had the house built. We left Home Depot with nothing accomplished.
My wife and I read all available reviews pertaining to Lowe's, some good, some bad.
After going to our local Lowe's store my wife and I had some trepidations about using such a large chain. We were concerned about the training of the workmen Lowe's would use. We decided to have Lowe's do our kitchen. We ordered Kraftmaid cabinets which have a lifetime guarantee. We ordered a very expensive molding (molding alone was $1,600) but it was well worth it. The installers that Lowe's sent could not have been better. They were very careful when removing all of the old cabinets and the soffits that was over the old cabinets. Several times Lowe's sent managers to our house to make sure the job was going well. Our kitchen was finished in a timely manner despite waiting several days for some special doors. Also, there were a few changes/repairs to be made after the kitchen was completed. All I had to do was contact Lowe's Installation Department and they sent someone to make these minor repairs within a few days. All in all everything went better than expected and we would not hesitate to recommend Lowe's to anyone who is considering remodeling their kitchen.
We received a great price on top of the line cabinets plus lots of extras. Having Lowe's do the installation, we were able to save money and taxes. Their kitchen choices were very good and Lowe's Customer Service is excellent. Lowe's will guarantee their workmanship for a year after installation.
