I was looking for a puppy to either buy or adopt and got an email back from Teresa Mendoza. She said she had two puppies and was looking for a good home for them. So I emailed her back and she said all I had to do was pay $300.00 to get him transported to me. Then all of a sudden the agency called Petairways said they needed 2,000.00 for insurance in order to proceed with the process. So Teresa Mendoza said she was going to ask friends and family to help out with the money so they sent me the $1,500.00 and I added the $500.00 to make it $2,000.00. Then everything was fine and they said the dog was going to arrive on Saturday, February 16 at 5:00 pm when he did not arrive and they were saying that the agency needed another $4,000.00 because the puppy was under quarantine at the airport is where I became even more suspicious. She then proceeded with telling me she was going to come up with the money and was asking me to come up with some more. Then my mother received an email from the same person about the same puppies and thats where I knew we were completely scammed.
