On 11/27 I received an offer from a Rev Dr. Charity Harper to become a Mystery shopper. On 11/28 I replied (sounds like fun) yesterday 1/9 I received a Cashiers Check for $2740.00 and a letter telling me how to go about doing my job as a mystery shopper. I was given a phone number 417-413-4849 which seems to be non-existent. I took the check to my credit union and was going to deposit it in my savings account to see if it would clear. I told the teller about the offer and she took the check to her manager to see if it would be good. The manager said the check was probably a fraudulent check and wouldn't let me make the deposit. I then came home and found West Suburban Bank on line who told me the check was in fact bogus. The letter and the check was mailed to me by Nickole Hogan at the 1451 W 1150N Layton UT address. And she can be found on facebook and lives in Layton UT. I think this scam is her invention.
