Folks: Haveyou ever wanted to be treated unprofessionally during a phoneinterview? Do you want to interact with a recruiting idiot? Well, now you can by simply applying for a job at John M. Dionisio runAECOM. Thereare many pathetic things about Sacramento based recruiter SequoiaHowell that you may not even know. Did you know that Sequoia Howellrequests candidates to interview via email and then she neverresponds for months? That's right, folks, when Sequoia Howell wascontacted about a potential interview, Sequoia Howell rolled over andplayed dumb and claimed she never got this person's email for over amonth. The problem is that the person's internet service providersaid otherwise. Sequoia Howell reacted quite quickly and withhostility after this person threatened to report AECOM to the LosAngeles Times. Sequoia Howell falsely claimed this person would bebad for business. Has Sequoia Howell ever worked with this personlike several of the other AECOM employees have? Most likely not! Guess Sequoia Howell has an allergy to people who are smarter thanthose currently employed at AECOM! The reason Sequoia Howell refusesto employ smart people is because they would come up with ways tomake their company more efficient. Does Sequoia Howell not want tosave the company money?
SequoiaHowell is so dumb she is willing to throw away $120 million insavings for her company AECOM, run by CEO John M. Dionisio. How manypeople come to interview a company have a California StructuralEngineer License, 14 years of experience, and a Master's degree? Nottoo many that we know of. This person was interviewed on severalradio stations on the West Coast and even made appearances onnational radio shows. We find this individual a great match forAECOM. Even this person had their work checked by AECOM engineersand even recruited this person to work for AECOM. But Sequoia Howelland her boss John M. Dionisio does not because Sequoia Howell doesnot like smart employees according to our encounters.
SequoiaHowell has demonstrated many things, like she has a deep-seatedhatred for people who are smarter than the people employed at AECOM. Can we tell you why Sequoia Howell has a job at AECOM? We believeit's because Sequoia Howell's an American Indian woman who appearsnot to be competent at all! AtAECOM, they didn't invent job discrimination against the long-termunemployed, they just perpetrate it. Is this what Sequoia Howellwants to do: create a class of highly intelligent engineers who areon public assistance? Well, Sequoia Howell needs to realize is thatmoney will be diverted away from AECOM's projects and into socialservices programs such as food stamps. Will Sequoia Howell want topay for any federal student loans that have been defaulted on becauseshe refuses to hire these people? We believe she should. After all, Sequoia Howell's mishaps have been reported to California StateSenator Mike Allen - who wishes to pass laws banning jobdiscrimination against the long-term unemployed.
WhatSequoia Howell doesn't want people to know is that AECOM really is abad company. Don't take our word for it. According to evaluationsat Glassdoor: Work-lifebalance can be an issues at times, particularly since the economicdownturn. While core values list employees as an important asset, this is often lacking in day to day operations both in the Sacramentooffice and from the corporate level. Layoffscoupled with the thoughtless dropping of remaining workload ontoremaining staff (not delegated, which would imply thinking wasinvolved) have created a negative unhappy stressful work environment. Very Political. Good, solid engineers are taken advantage of, used, and sucked dry. There is not time for training / mentoring ofstaff. Layoffsstarted around (you guessed it) Christmas Eve! Basically you alreadyhad a relatively beaten down and demoralized workforce facing thegrim reality that they would be next in the line of fire. And by January about 2 or three people were getting the axe per week (it is April now and this has continued). It created an uglypolitical and cultural atmosphere where there was once a positiveenvironment became a dreadful place to come to work. Everyone was onpins and needles and production took a huge hit, gossip and fearmongering became rampant, people started to step all over eachother -and of course upper management seamed only to encourage the madnessas they continue to sink even further as an organization. Astonishingly some of the other organizations that AECOM views as"competitors" (Gensler, HOK, Aedas, RTKL, SOM, etc) werehiring people.

Nowif Sequoia Howell wants to address the problem and hire this person, she is free to do so. She should hire this person now or AECOM willlose their clients.
