I was contacted by Richard Davis on a dating website, he seemed genuine, attentive, romantic, honest & caring... For almost 2 weeks straight. The very first email sent mentioned his mum was sick in hospital, he lives in Albany NY but was in Lagos looking after her, he'd lost his dad and sister in a car accident so the only family he had were mum, daughter and aunt.

He stated he owned a construction company which he inherited from his dad, one day out of the blue he sent lots of photos, even with him and his daughter. Sadly he was divorced and had been for 5 years as his wife had an illicit affair with his best fried which left him deeply hurt but now he was ready to move on and I was the "one"

There was daily contact, emails the odd phone call and ecards professing love... Oh and the regular mentions of his sick mum who had heart problems, he claimed to be a doting son, visiting day and night. Then came the message that mum was critical, he only had some of the money to pay for the operation and needed my help to pay the bill, only a loan, only what I could afford no matter how small.

As soon as I refused as I simply didn't have the funds, I was told I need your help, I can't lose her, it's a matter of life or death... The guilt card was being played. As soon as I heard money and loan my alarm bells started ringing. Me saying no led to a drastic reduction in emails and the tone changed completely, no more baby, sweetie, honey.

I did Internet searches and found he's a romance scammer and very good at what he does... Be warned ladies!!
