Hacked Email Used to Ask Friends for $2,650 Wire

My Yahoo email account has been attacked, and someone in Scotland, using my address, is asking everyone on my Yahoo mailing list to send them money because I am supposedly stranded there. I have kept copies of the emails forwarded to me by some of my friends. My contact list in Yahoo has also been changed, so I cannot access it to tell my contacts about the scam.

Here is the text from their last email to my friend:

Subject: Western Union Details...
Date: Mon, Dec 6 at 1:39 AM

"Glad you replied back. We have nothing left on us right now and our flight leaves today. We are lucky to have our lives and passports cos it would have been worst if they had made away with it. Well, all we need now is a loan of $2,650 to sort our bills and you can have it wired to my name via Western Union cos our flight leaves today. I promise to pay you back as soon as we get back home. Here's my info below.

Scotland, United Kingdom.

As soon as you are done with the transfer, kindly get back to me with the Confirmation # MTCN for me to pick up the money."
