Internet & Web / Online Scam

Having had a couple of bad experiences with ProFlowers, when I discovered this site, I began rooting around reading about the experience of others. I seems that there are at least 2000 complaints about ProFlowers, Red Envelope, Free Shipping.com, Easy Saver, and Encore Marketing that share the "questionable" web practices these companies seem to be engaging in as a group. Is this just a coincidence (wink, wink): I think not.

This "consortium" should be "outed" and I will do what I can to make sure that it happens. From everything that I have seen, they may be engaged in the practice of "mini-fraud" capitalizing on those who don't figure out that free shipping billings began with their inadvertent clicking of a box (they will say it was the greed & negligence of the customer) and simply write off one or a few, or perhaps dozens of monthly billing out of laziness, embarassment, or lack of time. If thousands of people have shared this experience on this site in the last 4 years, how many others have been victims; how many who have never thought they could get their money back?

I bumped into an amazing common thread: Caroline Segars. Who?

Caroline Segars. Rather than have me tell you, I will let you read what she has to say about who she is as she tries to explain what it is that goes on with these companies. Note that the oldest entries, those at the bottom, are the most telling. She eventually stops giving her last name and relies on a "canned" message. Now, after you have identified who she is, you have to visit her "former Identity".

Not only does she slam the competition, but she belittles a customer who complains! To me, this speaks of knowlege of the victimization.

All of that aside, why is it that she has attempted to respond to a tiny percentage of the customers who have been scammed by these companies? If she was really concerned with what is going on, here, she would be all over this site and similar sites, clearing up the issues that seem to be plaguing thousands if not tens of thousands of victims out there.

By the way, Caroline, I smell a rat here... Illy (really?) The timing seems quite coincidental...
